From 1st January 2016 onwards, all Supporting Artists (SAs) that work on productions commissioned by BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV or Sky which involve under 18s (in either speaking or non-speaking roles) must have obtained a basic disclosure certificate which shows that the SA has no unspent convictions for sex offences.
Pact, together with the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV and Sky, are committed to safeguarding children working in the television & film industry. As part of the background checks producers already undertake for production staff and freelancers, the broadcasters are requiring an additional measure to protect children and young persons under the age of 18. If you already have a valid DBS check please make sure you supply a copy to the office, or apply here today to make sure you are assessable to all productions: http://www.disclosurescotland.co.uk/basicdisclosu…/index.htm |
